Papers of Michael Fitch consisting of his diary from 1864 to the close of the war when he was serving as Lieutenant Colonel of the 21st Wisconsin Infantry Regiment in Georgia, the Carolinas, and finally Washington, D.C.; his report of the regiment's operations in Georgia, 1864; correspondence including letters of recommendation after the war written by officers with whom he served; notes on prices of provisions in 1864; and the Roll of Prescott Guards, 1861, which became part of Company B, 6th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment.
